Behind the Camera

A few more things about me that you might not know:

•I love photography, everything about photography, even the days when I'm working until 3am. I think I'm just addicted but you might have realized that by now.

•Floyd, my pup, is pretty much like my child. No really, I think he believes that he is a little human and that's ok, for the time being.

•I went to school for photography in Massachusetts, but couldn't stand living that far away from my family ( I have a really large family). So when I graduated I moved back to Missouri, maybe not my home town but close enough.

•I love music, almost as much as photography. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and The Black Keys are just a few of my favorite bands.

•I eventually plan on retiring to a beach, in Hawaii. Yes I have big dreams.

Next Up : Seniors • Missouri Portrait Photographer

Here are a few highlights from my fun crew this year, Seniors. They always seem to be the most easy going with their laid back sense of “eh I’m just here for my parents” but our sessions are some of the most fun adventurous sessions I have. We run around town looking for new little...

So with the end of the year in sight, I thought I would throw up a few of my favorite images from my 2009 collection of work. I’m going to start off with the closest photography to my heart, weddings. Throughout 2009 I have had the privilege to meet some amazing couples that have filled...

Well I know I am getting this out a little late but I thought I would wait until I had the perfect photo of Floyd to share in his festive Santa suit. I took this on Christmas eve before my family and I jumped in the car and headed in the cold winter storm for...

Family Session at the Capitol • Missouri Portrait Photographer

It was misting and cold, but Aislinn and her wonderful family threw on their warm weather gear and we headed to the capitol for a holiday family portrait session. Lizzy and Sean decided to have a beautiful holiday session in downtown Jefferson city last week. It was quite cold out so we were popping into every warm place we could find. One stop along the tour of Living Windows was Cafe’ Via Roma. It was nice and toasty inside and was the perfect scene...

A week ago my wonderful parents celebrated 42 years of marriage, and a love that has lived up to what it stands for. We were going to take a couple images for their big day the day of their anniversary but unfortunately with the weather and time constraints we just didn’t get around to it....

Aislinn = Fabulous • Missouri Portrait Photographer

And to think she began this session by telling me she wasn’t really sure what to do. I’m pretty sure she figured it out. Yes, Aislinn rocked this session even in the 45 degree weather! I mean seriously, love the leather jacket, love the hair flips, she was so working her headshot session. We ran...

Cara’s Senior Session in London? • Missouri Portrait Photographer

Cara called me up a couple weeks ago needing senior portraits taken, and she needed them taken by the end of the week. So of course I worked my schedule around and we were able to head out on Saturday afternoon. Between the hazy gray skies, cool weather, and Cara’s fun attire, you would think...

After a few date changes due to that wonderful flu bug going around,  Alisha and her family finally joined me on their family portrait session a few weeks ago around MU Campus. Again we lucked out with beautiful November weather and had a fun afternoon creating some great images. Alisha’s 3 year old, Gabbie, was...
